This may be a double post:  Weather on 12-11-18.  Slowest start in some time.  Pray that it begins now.  After a horrible year of fires all along the West Coast.....
"A winter storm brought in more than a foot of snow to areas of the Cascades in 24 hours, ushering in a delayed start of ski season at local mountain passes.
The Summit at Snoqualmie said Monday it will open for limited operations Friday, with Summit West opening from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mount Baker Ski Area has said it will open on Wednesday, as heavy snow is forecast for the rest of the week.
Ski resorts postponed openings this year due to a lack of snow caused by unusually warm temperatures and lower-than-average precipitation. Crystal Mountain is open for skiing and snowboarding and will open more areas as weather allows. Stevens Pass announced it will open Wednesday. Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort in Wenatchee will open for daily operation starting Friday

Miracle March.

As so often happens, March goes off.  Huge snow everywhere, and cold.
I had a great day on Friday the 23rd at Crystal with the Fiorini's. Sold 9 as it was cold, deep (20" in places), good visability, and snow and wind enough to fill in the runs.  We baked ourselves with 19,000 ft of measured Vert.
All the areas are good.  75" at the base and 119" at the summit.  Alpental shows 115-198". Mammoth shows 110"-170" although it has been a very hit an miss year, and last year it was like 350".

Crystal goes to April 23.  We will see if I get to go again...Didn't use the pass enough...

What a ho hum year. But will it turn on

1-23-18.. and I have skied 4 days in Washington. Went to Crystal with Jack on January 5th and never bought a pass.  Just worked on our boots and took over the Snorting Elk.
Went to Alpental on January 19th and never got out of the car for fog.  Was told it cleared eventually.
Here is the story as of today.  I'm loaded with a Season Pass, a 4 out of 5 pack and 3 passes from Jeff. I hope I have some guests this year!
