2022-2023 SEASON OF EXTRAORDINARY SNOW

There was more snow this year in the Sierras than almost ever since they have measured it. 750” to over 800” in the southern sierra.  Mammouth was so buried that they were often closed.  The town was totally over covered.  The second stories were covered.

In Little Cottonwood Canyon, same story.  700+ inches.  3 and 4 day inter lodge closures.  Huge dumps.

The Pacific NW had a good, not great year.  The atmospheric rivers were much further south.  I believe Crystal had a 400” year.

I skied at Mammouth once with Andrew in February, then went to BC for a trip to K3 cat ski.  Very, very good year.  A very good trip with deep snow.  We skied Revelstoke for a day, and then after K3, we went to Silver Star.  Loved the trip and booked for 24.

Had 3 days with Jeff Martin in Utah.  Good day at Deere Valley, Then a very good day at Alta on a snowy, Nw style day of heavy cloud and snow.  Last day was bluebird at Snowbird which was magnificent.  Crowded, but that’s Snowbird now.

One last day at Mammouth with Andrew on April 29 or so.  Really good spring skiing.  It then snowed a few days later, in May!

I skied will on the days I got to go.  Never stop skiing.  It’s so good.
