2014 Drought and Austria Trip

Just returned from St. Anton.  Daytons, Ogborns, Jeff and Teresa Martin and the Pharms. We were all there together at the Hotel Grischuna and with high hopes, got up to see GRASS on the bottom slopes.  Yep, it was a drought there too.  Ok, so we got 6 inches on the Wednesday and got to look around at Lech and Zurs that day. We saw the potential, the terrain, the incredible 97 lifts, the 100,000 acres, did I mention the terrain? I'll post some photo's, but the bottom line was there wasn't enough snow.  It was the worst beginning to a year they could remember and we were there to see it. Sort of like a fishing trip or 10 that I have been on.
And here at home?  Crystal claims 118" of snow to date, at the end of January.  We had that much or more in December alone last year.  Here is the State report:
